Qiagen BioRobot EZ1 Platform
Acceptable Sample and Tube Type:
The BioRobot EZ1 workstation uses Qiagen magnetic beads to purify genomic DNA from white blood cells in whole blood.
The platform will accept samples from buffy coat, collected from purple-top or yellow-top tubes as well as suspensions of microbial isolates for extraction.
KingFisher Flex Purification System
Acceptable Sample Type:
The KingFisher Flex uses MagMAX magnetic-bead technology to isolate genomic DNA from a variety of samples. There are several isolation kits available that are optimized to a specific sample type.
- The MagMAX DNA Multi-Sample Ultra 2.0 kit is used with buffy coat, whole blood, saliva, buccal swabs, and tissues.
- The MagMAX Microbiome Ultra Nucleic Acid Isolation kit extracts DNA from stool and soil samples.
